Project: Research into Holding A Quirky Event In The West Carmarthenshire Region

This particular consultation process entailed working closely with the West Carmarthenshire Tourism Cluster Action Group in looking at ways of attracting visitors and keeping them in West Carmarthenshire for longer Taking in the towns of Whitland and St. Clears and surrounding areas including Laugharne, Pendine, Llanboidy, Llanddowror and Red Roses, the consultation looked at the viability of initial ideas presented by the Action Group as well as suggesting other options and in particular the possibility of holding a festival of quirky events in the West Carmarthen region.

As a direct result of this research, the organisers of Green Events in Llanwrtyd Wells offered the West Carmarthenshire Cluster Group the opportunity to hold events under the auspices of the World Alternative Games to be held in 2014.
