Canta conducted a audit of current tourist trails for Carmarthenshire Tourism Association. This audit included recommendations for “Things To Do and heritage Interpretation for North Carmarthenshire. Identifying Brechfa Forest as an area for attracting more visitors the client wished to develop activities which could be marketed as “Things to Do” in North Carmarthenshire. The Action Group commissioned the packaging of exemplar materials encompassing heritage and culture with the aim of not only attracting visitors to North Carmarthenshire but also keeping them in the area for longer.



  • Researched current provision and inspiration from other areas with similar terrain
  • Provided recommendations for “Things to Do” in North Carmarthenshire with particular reference to linkage with other communities in the specified area
  • Created downloadable trails for use by businesses and accommodation providers
  • Created exemplar interpretation materials of the heritage of the Brechfa Forest to allow independent exploration in conjunction with the aims of a local tourism group.
